For nearly 25 years Eco-Schools has been empowering children to drive change and improve their environmental awareness through the simple Seven-Step framework in order to achieve the international Eco-Schools Green Flag award.

Eco-Schools develops pupils’ skills, raises environmental awareness, improves the school environment and creates financial savings for schools as well as a whole host of other benefits.

They also encourage schools to follow the Eco-Schools Programme.

A free online survey and supporting resources equip churches to express care for the world in worship and teaching, in caring for buildings and land, in engaging with local communities and global campaigns, and in the congregation’s personal lifestyles.

Actions taken count towards a prestigious Eco Church Award at Bronze, Silver or Gold level.

Churches of all denominations are supported to care for the environment as an integral part of loving their neighbours and following God faithfully.

EcoAward.uk was created by the United Nations Association Coventry Branch in 2022 to celebrate and promote the achievements of those working on eco-related activities.

Initially it is open to schools in Coventry, but we plan to offer it to other communities in the future.
